Rare Earth Elements Testing

Rare earth elements are a set of seventeen chemical elements in the periodic table, specifically the fifteen lanthanides and scandium and yttrium. Rare earth elements are neither rare, nor earth. They are relatively plentiful in the Earth’s crust, but are typically dispersed and found in low concentrations.

Rare earth elements are integral to modern society and essential to America’s growth and national security. They have unique properties, unlike any other elements. Rare earth elements can be found in most modern technologies, such as computers, batteries, fuel additives, imaging technologies, communication systems, and displays, to name a few.

Rare Earth Elements Testing

Conti Testing Laboratories performs numerous tests on rare earth elements, in a broad array of applications and settings.  Additionally, Conti Testing is qualified to analyze samples in a wide range of industries and in accordance with ASTM standards.  We are accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 standard via PJLA for testing.

Concentrations of rare earth elements can be determined using our state of the art of equipment.  With our ICP Mass Spectrometer (Agilent 7900) , analysis can be determined on the order of sub-parts-per-billion.
