Preparation of Coal and Coke Samples for Analysis

Applicability: This procedure applies to the preparation of all coal and coke samples received at Conti Testing Laboratories, Inc. (CTL), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for analysis.

Purpose: The purpose of this procedure is to provide a method for the reduction and division of gross or divided coal and coke samples and the preparation of composite samples for analysis by the laboratory.
