Phosphorus, Reactive(Orthophosphate) and Total
Applicability: Hach Methods 10209 and 10210, using the TNTplus vial test, are applicable for determining reactive (orthophosphate) and total phosphorus in various water and wastewater samples. These methods are suitable for drinking water, surface and saline waters, and domestic and industrial wastewater. The methods are also EPA compliant and have been determined to be equivalent to EPA Method 365.3.
Purpose: Hach Methods 10209 and 10210, utilizing the TNTplus™ system, are used for the spectrophotometric measurement of reactive (ortho) phosphorus and total phosphorus in water and wastewater samples. Specifically, Method 10209 measures reactive phosphorus, while Method 10210 measures total phosphorus. These methods are based on the ascorbic acid method and are designed for use with Hach spectrophotometers and TNTplus reagent vials.
