Free Liquids Test
Applicability: EPA Method 9095B is used to determine if a waste contains free liquids. It’s applicable for demonstrating the presence (or absence) of liquids when assessing hazardous waste characteristics, particularly for determining ignitability and corrosivity. It is not, however, sufficient to demonstrate the absence of liquids when assessing for ignitability or corrosivity. If a free liquid is identified using this method, it can be used for further testing of those characteristics.
Purpose: Method 9095B is designed to identify the presence of free liquids in a waste material.
