N-Hexane Extractable Material (HEM; Oil and Grease) and Silica Gel Treated N-Hexane Extractable Material (SGTHEM; Non-polar Material) by Extraction and Gravimetry

Applicability: EPA Method 1664A, specifically designed for the determination of n-hexane extractable material (HEM) and silica gel treated n-hexane extractable material (SGT-HEM) in aqueous samples, is primarily applicable to wastewater and waste matrices within EPA’s Clean Water Act (CWA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) programs.
