Extraction Procedure (EP) Toxicity Test Method and Structural Integrity Test

Applicability: EPA Method 1310, or the Extraction Procedure (EP) Toxicity Test Method, is a test used to determine if a waste exhibits the characteristic of Extraction Procedure Toxicity, which is a key factor in classifying waste as hazardous under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The method is applicable to liquid, solid, and multiphase samples.

Purpose: Method 1310 simulates the leaching that a waste might undergo if disposed of in a landfill, helping determine if the waste contains potentially harmful leachable constituents.
