About Us

Conti Testing Laboratories has been an independent and privately owned analytical laboratory since 1979. Initially specializing in coal and coke testing, Conti Testing has expanded its capabilities and expertise to a broad range of industries and materials including water & soil, alternative fuels, metals and petroleum.

Since 1979, Conti Testing has conducted all of its testing and services from its facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While providing quality testing services for our clients, we view ourselves as an extension of our client’s businesses and make recommendations as such. We put high emphasis on quality control for our customers and make sure they fall within environmental specifications and compliance for the product.

In addition to testing services, Conti Testing offers sampling services and barge draft surveys.

Weight Determination

Draft surveys on barges and vessels are to determine the weight before and after the loading of cargo. Our experienced surveyors ensure quantities are accurate and product value is realized.

Sampling

Our skilled staff can oversee the collection of samples or take them manually. From coal to environmental and alternative fuels, our technicians are trained to ensure an accurate representation of the product is taken.

Inspections

At Conti Testing Laboratories, we specialize in providing comprehensive analytical testing and inspection services for cargo, barges, and inventory storage/warehousing.
