Applicability: ASTM E926 provides methods for preparing refuse-derived fuel samples for metal analysis using atomic absorption or inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy. This standard has been withdrawn.

Purpose: Essentially, the purpose of ASTM E926 was to establish standardized methods for processing RDF samples to make them suitable for testing the metal content within them.
