Total Dissolved Solids Dried at 180oC
Applicability: SM 2540C is a method for determining total dissolved solids (TDS) and total volatile dissolved solids (TVDS) in various types of water and wastewater. It is applicable to a wide range of water samples, such as Potable water (drinking water), Surface waters, Saline waters, Domestic wastewaters, and Industrial wastewaters.
Purpose: SM 2540C is used to determine Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in water and wastewater samples. It’s a gravimetric method that measures the residue remaining after evaporating a filtered water sample and drying it at a specific temperature (usually 180°C).
