Total Chlorine in Coal by the Oxygen Vessel Combustion/Ion Selective Electrode Method

Applicability: This procedure applies to all samples received and analyzed at Conti Testing Laboratories, Inc. (CTL), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for bomb preparation and subsequent analysis by ion chromatography or ion selective electrode.

1.5. Sample collection and shipment: sample containers should be kept filled and sealed until analysis.

Purpose: The purpose of this procedure is to provide a prep method for non-aqueous sample to measure various anions in a sample by combustion in a Parr oxygen bomb.
